HelioIndex - Criteria for Including AuthorsFirst and foremost, an author must have an ORCID ID. If you do not have one, then please visit orcid.org to obtain one. After obtaining your ORCID ID, you should match your ORCID ID to your existing publications. Please check the guide for claiming papers in ADS with your ORCID ID for details on how to do this. You can also link articles to your ORCID ID using the interface at orcid.org. If you do this, make sure that the entries include either the article DOI or the article bibcode (otherwise the HelioIndex software will not be able match them to ADS entries). Based on the articles attached to your ORCID record, the HelioIndex software applies the following criteria to determine if you belong to the directory.
The career age is calculated from the author's first FAR paper plus six months. The latter is added as an estimate of the preparation time of the article. Finally, the keywords of all of the author's articles are collected and the author is considered to belong to SHP if at least 15% contain "solar", "sun" or "interplanetary". The update cycle of HelioIndex is 6 months, so if an author was previously not listed on HelioIndex but subsquently met the criteria then it will take up to 6 months for the author to be listed. However, you can email Peter Young and he can force the software to update your data immediately. Page maintained by Dr Peter R Young. |
